UFO ULTRAMAIDEN VALKYRIE

Plot - SEASON 1 - 4 - On a world where aliens are commonplace, Kazuto Tokino decides on his own to run his grandfather's bathhouse despite the protests from his parents. Kazuto however lacks a lot of the skills needed to make such a venture successful and must get by on a sunny disposition. That alone might have made things hard enough for him, but an alien princess named Valkyrie destroys the bathhouse, and in the process mortally wounds Kazuto. However, she is able to save his life with a magical kiss, but that kiss costs her half of her soul and transforms her into an 8 year old child, though when and Kazuto kiss, their souls connect allowing her to temporarily assume her adult form and wield the Key of Time, a powerful sword-shaped artifact. Princess Valkyrie is then stranded on Earth, unable to look after herself as the entire solar system is out searching for her. Over time, Kazuto and Valkyrie fall in love with each other.

After a few episodic adventures, Valkyrie's soul is healed by a hot spring on an asteroid (though she's still in her kid form), and she now seems unable to connect. To make matters worse, Valkyrie is taken back to her planet, Valhalla, by its ruler Mehm for her marriage. Kazuto decides that he doesn't want her to leave and breaks into the palace where she's held, with the help from Akina, Hydra, Laine, and Spot. When the two of them meet again, they are able to reconnect. Mehm reveals that the whole time, Valkyrie was meant to marry Kazuto, and had planned out the entire events that had happened. Though the two of them are very happy with the proposal, Valkyrie ends up reverting to her kid form, and the group discovers that the hot spring's effect is reversed by happiness. Kazuto and Valkyrie then return to Earth, since Valkyrie is now too young to marry.

The second season starts with the child Valkyrie gaining control of the Key of Time. The initial plot consists episodic adventures, and warnings of an upcoming disaster. That disaster appears in the form of a beautiful young woman calling herself Valkyrie Ghost, whom quickly falls in love with Kazuto. Akina and Hydra believe she manipulating Kazuto's mind and attack her, but Valkyrie Ghost assumes a fighting form and effortless defeats the two. She prepares to take the Key of Time from Valkyrie, but seeing that Kazuto still cares for her leaves. After the humiliating defeat they suffered, Akina and Hydra try to grow stronger and accidentally gain the ability to combine into a being they call Akindra when they get angry at each other. Using this new power they able to drive off Valkyrie Ghost when she returns to take Kazuto. Unfortunately, she later returns again, steals the Key of Time and takes Kazuto away, breaking the heart of Valkyrie. During this time, a massive blizzard starts over Valhalla. At this time, Akindra and Mehm are able find that Valkyrie Ghost is actually the collective negative feelings of the four lost princesses of Valhalla who in ancient times sacrificed themselves to seal away a disaster called the Blizzard of Time that would have destroyed Valhalla, which had returned at this time. They also created the Key of Time, which goes to a member of the Valhalla royal family in each generation. As she is composed of negative feelings, Valkyrie Ghost searched for the one person whose love could free her from her pain, which she believed was Kazuto. Despite that, even when she kidnaps him, her pain wouldn't go away. Valkyrie is able to reach Kazuto while Akindra fights Valkyrie Ghost (in which Akindra is able to defeat her, but proves unable to kill her). Valkyrie then takes back the Key of Time and uses it to release the negative feelings that composed Valkyrie Ghost, freeing the lost princesses and stopping the Blizzard of Time.
